What our Volunteers say:.Emma
Lily is an absolute delight. She was great in the car and just settled down. I took her to Delamere Forest where there were lots of distractions; we walked past horses, lots of dogs off-lead, and school kids all being giddy, and she didn’t react once. She does stop and just watch them (more so than the dogs off-lead), but that’s all. She was great in the café too; she was a little anxious as her tail was tucked, but with lots of dogs coming and going, there was no reaction from her. She walks well next to you; my sister, who isn’t a dog person, walked with me and called Lily "the perfect dog.
What our Volunteers say:.Jonathan & Lynne
Lily is a lovely girl with a wonderfully soft coat. She walks perfectly on the lead with no pulling and is generally unreactive in all situations. She is great with bikes, runners, and ducks. She showed some interest in deer, but nothing more.
She is excellent in the car and settles down to lay flat during journeys. She is also confident navigating stairs and lifts.
In terms of socialising, she is great with our own Greyhound, happy to be in close contact both in the car and on walks. She is generally indifferent to other breeds; she wasn't interested in Dachshunds we passed and had no reaction to an Airedale Terrier sniffing around her. We met a French Bulldog at Altrincham Market who jumped up at her three times which she ignored; on the fourth time, she simply corrected him to let him know she needed space, but remained calm.
She is very good with children. We took her into the National Trust restaurant at Dunham Massey, and she wasn't fazed by small humans at all, even with toddlers practising their walking nearby.
