Afternoon Adventure: Boo
Boo has just returned to his kennel for tea after a truly spectacular afternoon out. To put it simply: he was absolutely perfect.
A Confident & Social Companion
Boo is the definition of a relaxed hound. He was completely unfazed by the world around him, handling every new situation with ease. He was approached by many different dogs—including several off-lead—and he remained calm, polite, and entirely unbothered throughout every greeting.
The Perfect Date
If you’re looking for a cafe companion, Boo is your boy! He joined us for a break outside a local cafe, where he settled down immediately, soaked up the atmosphere, and seemed to truly enjoy himself.
Excellent Manners
On the Lead: He is a dream to walk, staying right by your side with zero pulling.
In the Car: He settled beautifully for both legs of the journey, making travel a breeze.
Summary
Boo is a confident, steady, and incredibly chilled-out hound. With his "go-with-the-flow" attitude and gentlemanly manners, he is more than ready to find his forever sofa. Whoever adopts this boy is hitting the jackpot!

Boo has been in medical foster with us for 10 days, and his tail is now completely healed! He has settled beautifully into home life; he is funny, gentle, and incredibly loving.
He sleeps through the night and clearly asks to go outside when needed. He loves playing with balls and "collecting" shoes—though, thankfully, he never chews them! On walks, he is a dream; he walks well on the lead and hasn't shown any reactivity. He even joined us at the pub, where he stood politely for two hours just observing the world.
While he can navigate stairs on walks, he hasn't quite mastered the indoor ones yet. He initially tried a bit of counter-surfing, but he is improving quickly with a firm "no." Because of his recovery, he hasn't been left alone yet, but he’s been the perfect companion. We are going to miss him so much!

We had the pleasure of taking Boo out for the day! We picked him up from Janet, who’s looking after him at the moment, and took him to Tatton Park. He did very well! There was a dog show on today, so it was very busy with dogs and humans, but he wasn’t reactive to anything at all.
He wasn’t happy when we had to double back after turning the wrong way; his face was very much saying, “Absolutely not—I’ve been this way and I’m not doing it again.” Eventually, when we got him moving again, he had a good potter and a sniff of everything.
We went to the pub afterwards (very fittingly called The Greyhound) and he was very well-behaved, although he did love getting in everyone’s way to say hello! He was such a good boy, and @Darryl Shaw and I are looking forward to picking him up on Sunday! 🥰 (This photo was taken just before getting him back into the car.)

Brilliant Boo
Boo was a pleasure to walk. He was calm and quiet throughout the day. Boo jumped into the car and lay down quickly. He wasn’t interested in meeting any other dogs but was friendly when approached or sniffed. He appears to be small-dog neutral and wasn’t fussed by seeing or walking next to other breeds. He showed no reaction when a horse rider passed closely. He liked walking towards the front of the pack and at a good pace. Although maybe slightly overwhelmed with all the new sights, he took things in his stride. His favourite part of the day was watching a herd of donkeys and having a pup cup.

Boo had such a great time at the Priory today! He was great in the car on the way there—settling down by the end of the lane—and he fell asleep all the way back. At first, he was a little overwhelmed by all the dogs, but he soon got over that once people started giving him lots of fuss. After that, he was his usual wonderful, charming self.
