Well, I’ve had the pleasure of taking Buddy out today. He was very vocal at the kennels and pulling on the lead ready to go... but as soon as I got to my car, he had to be lifted in! 😂 As we took off on our journey, he popped his head out the window and then went straight into lying down, where he stayed until we got to Delamere Forest. He was very quiet in the car, too.
At Delamere, he walked lovely on the lead. There was no pulling whatsoever; it was a loose lead all the way round. We walked past lots of dogs off leads and he didn’t even take them on. Even the dogs on leads he didn’t take them on, he was just walking and sniffing.
We went into the cafe and he lay straight down on his side (wasn’t bothered that he was in the way of people 😂) and stayed there while I ate my breakfast. He enjoyed a couple of people saying hello to him, too. There were some kids in the queue for food and he didn’t move from his lying position—he just wasn’t bothered.
On the drive back, he slept all the way and then didn’t want to get out of the car.
He’s a lovely, calm boy x

Some photos of Buddy’s day out yesterday.
He was a pleasure on his afternoon out—always on a slack lead when walking. He met a number of dogs and was perfectly happy to be sniffed. We stopped off in a beer garden, and he would have been happy to stay for last orders!
To say there was no budging him is an understatement 😆🫣. He was encouraged by everyone, but we eventually had to pick him up, for which he received a standing ovation for the "strenuous" activity of lying down and catching some rays 😎.
He settled well in the car both ways and was a pleasure to walk overall, with his cheeky characteristics coming out over the course of the day 🐾.
