Meet Queenie, also known around the kennels as Queenie. Born in October 2023, this 2-year and 8-month-old black female is a wonderful blend of affectionate and independent. She boasts a very laid-back temperament but absolutely loves getting out and about for her walks. Queenie is great on her lead and travels well, making her an easy, stress-free companion for all of your daily outings.

With very low energy levels overall, she appreciates a relaxing lifestyle where she can enjoy your company while maintaining a bit of her independent spirit. She is fantastic with children, though we are still getting to know how she interacts with cats and other dogs in a home setting.

What our Volunteers say: Ruth

A little outing to the show for Queenie today. It was hot, so we didn't do much. She needed help into the back seat of the car but lay down as soon as she was in there and travelled beautifully. At the show, she had a couple of little walks in the shade and spent some time under the shade of the gazebo. A little girl came to meet her and sat down next to her. Queenie was really gentle with her and posed nicely for a photo 😊. Queenie enjoyed sniffing about on her walks; she would have liked to explore more and was a little reluctant to go back to the gazebo, but she settled nicely on the bed that was provided for her. She enjoyed meeting Otto when he arrived and we all stood under the shade of the trees for a little while. She has been a pleasure to take out and I'm sure she will be a lovely dog for someone 😊.
