A lovable black boy waiting to show his true personality.

Thats it Jack (Jack) is a lovely black male who has recently arrived and is looking for his forever home. Born in September 2022, he is a young boy at 3 years and 10 months old. As he is a new arrival, we are still getting to know him and allowing he to settle in, so we don't have a full description of his personality just yet! Because he is newly with us, we are currently still assessing his suitability with other dogs. We are also evaluating his general energy levels as he transitions into a home environment.

  • Sex: Male

  • Colour: Black

  • Child friendly: Yes

  • Gets on with other dogs: Unknown

  • Pet friendly: No (Not cat friendly)

  • Personality: Currently being assessed as he settles in

  • Ideal home: An energetic family to keep him entertained, willing to let him settle and show his true colors

What our Volunteers say: Julie

Jack came into kennels this morning and then had his first outing when I had the pleasure of taking him to Stockton Heath Festival.

Jack needed his front end then rear quarters lifting into the car, where he settled down immediately and seemed relaxed during the journey. He jumped down from the car independently on arrival.

Jack was strong on the lead but walked well and was easy enough to control, ignoring most other dogs—and there were many of them—having a respectful sniff at others, but showing no reactivity. He was approached and stroked by people of all ages, and responded well.

We had chill-out sessions behind the HRH stall, given this was no doubt a very new and quite a challenging experience for him and the weather was very warm. He too won a special place in the greyhound category in the show! Well deserved, Jack!

Another lovely dog. I hope he soon finds his forever home.
