Own and More (Owen) is a handsome black male looking for his forever home. Born in April 2022, he is a wonderful mature lad at 4 years and 1 month old. Owen is described as a gorgeous, friendly boy who absolutely loves getting ear rubs and having cuddles! He will be a fantastic, affectionate addition to a family looking for a loving companion.

As he is a recent arrival, we are currently still assessing his suitability with children, cats, and other dogs. We are also evaluating his manners out and about on the lead, how he travels in the car, and his general energy levels.

What our Volunteers say: Sacha

Owen is a friendly, lovable, and calm hound. He jumped into the car with a little run-up and was happy enough travelling, enjoying the breeze through the window and settling down after 10 minutes.

Owen was happiest meeting people and loved getting a fuss. He seemed happy around children and was quite enthusiastic about greeting and kissing them when he could, so he may suit older children. Owen seemed unsure of small dogs, but he didn't bark or lunge and was fine with them walking past; he would probably prefer slow introductions with calm breeds.

He absolutely loved being around other greyhounds, happy to greet them and be sniffed. His favourite activity was watching the donkey rides, and he loved sniffing around. He was understandably a bit overwhelmed with all the new sights and sounds at the Birchwood carnival, but overall he was outstanding. 😊
