What our Volunteers say, Maria:.
On arrival, he had no issues getting out of the car. He was curious and eager to sniff and explore everything. He interacted really well with other Greyhounds and Whippets—generally a happy, gentle boy.
Anton will need some time to adjust to the outside world, as he was a bit scared of certain noises (for example, when someone popped a chewing gum bubble).
He met several dogs and was mostly calm and well-mannered. He sniffed a small dog politely, but later showed a brief moment of tension towards another small dog—nothing major, and thankfully he had his muzzle on. It was his first time in a busy park, so likely just inexperience rather than aggression.
He wasn’t reactive to children or other dogs overall.
Anton walks very nicely on the lead—a little strong at times, but only out of curiosity.
He’s well-behaved, interacts well with other breeds, and shows no issues around children. Once he gets to know you, he’s affectionate and gentle.
By the end of the walk, he was much calmer and tired. He jumped back into the car with no problem and slept all the way back.
Overall: Anton is a sweet, curious boy who just needs time, patience, and love to help him build confidence in the outside world. 💛
