Well, I’ve had the pleasure of taking Buddy out today. He was very vocal at the kennels and pulling on the lead ready to go... but as soon as I got to my car, he had to be lifted in! 😂 As we took off on our journey, he popped his head out the window and then went straight into lying down, where he stayed until we got to Delamere Forest. He was very quiet in the car, too.
At Delamere, he walked lovely on the lead. There was no pulling whatsoever; it was a loose lead all the way round. We walked past lots of dogs off leads and he didn’t even take them on. Even the dogs on leads he didn’t take them on, he was just walking and sniffing.
We went into the cafe and he lay straight down on his side (wasn’t bothered that he was in the way of people 😂) and stayed there while I ate my breakfast. He enjoyed a couple of people saying hello to him, too. There were some kids in the queue for food and he didn’t move from his lying position—he just wasn’t bothered.
On the drive back, he slept all the way and then didn’t want to get out of the car.
He’s a lovely, calm boy x

Some photos of Buddy’s day out yesterday.
He was a pleasure on his afternoon out—always on a slack lead when walking. He met a number of dogs and was perfectly happy to be sniffed. We stopped off in a beer garden, and he would have been happy to stay for last orders!
To say there was no budging him is an understatement 😆🫣. He was encouraged by everyone, but we eventually had to pick him up, for which he received a standing ovation for the "strenuous" activity of lying down and catching some rays 😎.
He settled well in the car both ways and was a pleasure to walk overall, with his cheeky characteristics coming out over the course of the day 🐾.

Buddy’s day out💛
Buddy was brilliant today. He was very excited to come out, and didn’t waste a second jumping in the back of the car. A very eager beaver! He traveled amazing in the car, he was lay down before we were halfway down the lane & enjoyed having his head out of the window once we got closer to our first destination.
We took Buddy for a walk on our local park and met up with my Dad and his Irish Water spaniel Stanley. Buddy was not phased at all by Stan even when he was off lead. He walked beautifully with him and mostly ignored each other. Buddy gained a lot of confidence when we accidentally bumped into ex resident Kev (now Nobby) they greeted each other with big waggy tails and leaned on each other.
On the walk we saw several small dogs, cockapoos, Dachshunds, staffys etc, and other than a curious glance, he wasn’t bothered at all. He had a small grumble at a large collie called Monty, but we redirected his focus and a short while later they were walking together like a pair of good friends.
Buddy then met my little Nanny Biscuits (I bet you can guess why she’s called that) he was the perfect gentleman and immediately said hello with a lean for a cuddle. He wasn’t interested in her big garden at all, just wanted to be with the people. He also found a squeaky ball and had a whale of time throwing it around the kitchen!
We then headed to the pub beer garden. The garden was empty, and we sat as far away from the entrance as possible so Buddy could enjoy some snacks and water on his blanket. He was very very well behaved! On the way out an elderly lady had allowed her bichon a slack lead halfway across the pub so he did bark at her but we redirected him and all was fine!
We finished the day with a short walk around Cheshire oaks to see how he faired with crowds. And he was absolutely brilliant! Again we walked past several dogs, all shapes and sizes and he didn’t react once! Just walked beautifully!
Gold stars all round for Buddy Boy! ⭐️
