What our Volunteers say: Heather
Both Ali and Dora were amazing in the car. Ali needed a hand getting in on the way out but jumped right in on the way home. Dora needed lifting both ways, but being so tiny, that was easy! They both lay down before we were even off Holly Bush; they didn't upset each other and I didn't hear a peep.
I was impressed with Dora all day. She was polite with all other breeds, and the only times she got bossy was with the other greys! I think because she is so small, she feels she needs to make herself known, but it isn't aggressive. The only time she barked was when a gentleman had the absolute nerve to come over the ridge behind us with a cart! It was most alarming—it made me jump out of my skin, too.
She was lapping up the human attention and, other than being a bit of a terrorist for food (she loves cake of all kinds!), she was relaxed and a little sweetheart. They were both shattered on the way home and went straight to bed once we got back to the kennels. 😴
