What our Volunteers say: Julie
Teddy had his first experience of the GGGWalk today. He wasn't too fussed about walking from the kennels to the car, so the handle on his harness was gently used. He made no move to jump into the car, so I lifted him in, and he settled immediately and remained calm throughout the journey.
Reaching the park, I lifted him down and he was keen to get going. He walked wonderfully with the other dogs, preferred staying right with the group rather than walking on the outside, and overall appeared to truly enjoy exploring the park.
He wasn't fazed by other types of dogs—small or otherwise—and although he showed interest in the birds on the lake, he showed no over-excitement. He walked nicely and didn't pull on the lead. Teddy was a little nervous around children if they were noisy or lively, which is completely understandable given his life experience to date.
Teddy is a lovely boy, and I hope he finds his forever home very soon. 💙🙏🏻
