What our Volunteers say:.Amanda

Excited to be going out for the day, I was surprised when he jumped right onto my back seat without a fuss. He soon settled once we left the bumpy lane and then stayed lying down for the whole journey without a peep out of him. Once we arrived and parked up, he happily jumped out himself and wasn't phased at all by all the busy cars passing us as we got ourselves onto the pavement.

He walks really well, and I'd say he kind of 'dances' delicately like being in a show ring; it properly made me laugh. 🤭 Whilst waiting in the park to set off, he just took it all in his stride, happy to be stroked and approached by kids, people, and all types of sighthounds and other breeds. He never took any interest when other off-lead dogs passed nearby and only showed some interest in a dog who was running with a toy, assuming he was more interested in the toy. Curious to watch ducks, coots, and seagulls at first, but then he ignored them. Very interested in scents and happy to investigate nicely with other dogs 🐕.

Overall, a super calm, curious, and well-behaved boy who seemed happy to be fussed by all. He slept all the way back to the kennels and was very grateful for his toy Frog 🐸 someone gave him at the event. Thank you to that couple who did show interest in him, as did lots of others. I have no doubt he'll find a forever home very soon as he's an absolute gem, especially as it was his first day out—no negatives or things to watch out for at all. Whoever adopts him won't regret it.
