What our Volunteers say:.Amanda
For Turbo’s first day out of the kennels, I really could not believe how well-behaved he was! He totally ignored the farmer’s dog that was roaming around the barn when we were leaving. With a little encouragement, he jumped into my car; once off the lane, he settled down and looked out of the back window all the way to Sefton Park—much to the joy of the cars behind when spotting his large snout 🐽.
Immediately on arrival, he jumped out quite excitedly and said a nice "hello" to a whippet cousin by the car. He was very excited to join the "pack", being very friendly and gentle around all the other dogs, people, and children who approached him. On the walk, he was very happy to mingle with others and accept all the attention.
He totally ignored birds and small, furry, off-lead dogs—he even allowed another Labrador puppy to cuddle him and put its front paws up on his back without even a flinch! He seems to revel in all the excitement with joy; even though he is only just experiencing domestic life, he is very much taking it all in his stride.
He’s definitely ready for his "forever sofa" and may even be worth cat-testing. Whoever chooses this big, friendly boy will not be disappointed. I’d go so far as saying he’s been the most well-behaved Grey I’ve had the pleasure of assessing off-site. x
