I took Robyn out from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. We visited Risley Moss and Partridge Lakes Outdoor Cafe. Robyn jumped in and out of the car without any hesitation. She lay down in the car once past the farm track potholes.
When out, she encountered a cat, squirrels, and several dogs of various sizes, including two small reactive dogs. She showed interest by looking but was easily distracted. Robyn was very unsure of men, backing away and hiding behind me. She was clean in the house, didn't attempt the stairs, and wasn't treat-motivated.
She walked well on the lead and enjoyed sniffing while at Risley Moss. When at Partridge Lakes, Robyn showed no interest in human food or drinks. She waited patiently, enjoying ear rubs and bum scratches.
Robyn is a gentle soul with gorgeous eyes and ears that flip-flop all over the place. It was lovely to take her out for the day.

Robyn had a wonderful day and is probably, by now, fast asleep and dreaming about it. We lifted her into the car at the kennels due to the loose dog; she wasn’t impressed by the potholes but settled down as soon as we reached the main road.
Once at Sefton, she was keen to jump out. She was nervous of the thudding footsteps of runners at first, but less so later on. She was the perfect girl and did her best to overcome her nerves around men—even leaning up against one at the café!
She didn’t react to other dogs (large or small), nor to the ducks, and she enjoyed a stroll back next to a Doberman. She seemed a tad nervous of pushchairs and small children but allowed the latter to fuss over her.
She eagerly jumped into the car at the end, promptly lying down to rest as she was quite tired. At Plumley, she jumped out easily and was keen to investigate our little private park. She was good in our garden and indoors, first investigating the whole room before settling down on the sofa. She was desperate for a snooze but was fighting it!
You will see in our photos how calm she was with Ian, both sitting next to him on the sofa and in the garden—a massive improvement. Back at the kennels, we left her standing up instead of her usual lying in the corner, even when Ian went to say goodbye.
She really was excellent, and we’re very proud of her. Thank you to everyone for organising today’s event and helping us—we had a great time. Thank you also to Amber for helping us settle Robyn back into the kennels. Thank you, everyone—you all do a brilliant job. xx
