Hugo is incredibly friendly and absolutely thrives on human connection. He loves a good ear rub—so much so that he’ll give you that famous, deep "Greyhound sigh" to let you know you’ve hit the spot. He is a natural "leaner" too; during a recent meeting, he spent the entire time leaning affectionately against a lady he’d only just met, showing just how much he craves companionship.

On the lead, Hugo is a true gentleman and a pleasure to walk. He is wonderful with dogs of all breeds, never lunging at others, and even enjoyed a "chat" with his long-nosed friend, Matty. During a visit to Dunham Massey, he proved to be a perfect ambassador for the breed. He remained calm and well-behaved in the cafe even with other dogs running about, and he didn't even bat an eyelid at the ducks, geese, or the deer with their impressive antlers.

While his companion Otto is a bit more reserved, Hugo has a way of endearing himself to everyone he meets. He is also an excellent passenger, settling down to lie comfortably once he’s adjusted to the car.

Hugo is a special soul who has waited a lifetime for his turn. He truly deserves a home where his big heart can shine, and he is ready to fill your days with the quiet, loyal companionship only a Greyhound can give.
