What our Volunteers say:.George

A little bit from Sonny yesterday. He was absolutely superb in every way you could ask.

Initially nervous about getting into the car, but he was fine after watching some other hounds hop in and head out. Once the car was moving, he sat down with a waving snoot to smell the air with the windows down.

After getting to the park, he was a delight. He said hello to some nice people and a kid before joining the group. There was no reactivity to anyone or anything; other greyhounds, small dogs, even the cats and geese didn't bother him. He was just very chilled and affectionate throughout.

No pulling on the lead at all; he walked like a saint. Although, he could have been a bit more polite when overtaking people. He was just incredibly well-behaved throughout; I can't praise his behaviour enough.

I can't say anything negative about Sonny, except he just needs a little help getting into the car. Two front feet, then a lift to the back end, and he's in. He settled really well. It is easy to forget he is there; he is so quiet.

No reaction to dogs of any size. At one point at the park, he had dogs zooming past and barking around him and he just trotted by without a care in the world. No reaction to birds.

He was happy with attention from all of the other greys and loved attention from big and little humans.

Sonny is such a lovely boy; if I was looking for a dog, I would have him in a heartbeat. Whoever adopts him will not be disappointed, I'm sure. πŸ₯°
