Barney is a truly wonderful dog, full of love and personality, who has quickly made his way into the hearts of those around him. Since arriving, he has been settling in beautifully and his cheeky, playful nature is really starting to shine, especially when he gets his paws on a squeaky toy.

He has shown himself to be a very calm and well-mannered boy. He has had no accidents in the house and even lets you know when he needs to go out during the night. Although he needed some help getting up the stairs at first, he settled down without any fuss at bedtime and slept soundly until morning. His appetite has also improved; after a hesitant start, he now happily tucks into his food, particularly when sausages and sardines are on the menu!

Barney is a fantastic companion on walks, where he's a true pleasure to be around. He walks well on the lead and enjoys his time outdoors, whether it's with just one person or with the boys. He is a very social dog, greeting any adults with a friendly welcome and happily leaning in for a fuss from children he knows. He's also doing brilliantly with other dogs he meets on walks, remaining calm and happy to continue on his way without any fuss.

Ultimately, Barney is a sweet, loving boy with a big heart who is learning to be a dog again, and those who have had the privilege of spending time with him feel he is a truly special dog.
